                                               LOS COMUNEROS DE CASTILLA


We have been studying in class how the Comuneros in Castile tried to defend their rights against the taxes imposed by Charles I. It ended with the battle in Villalar on the 23rd of April in 1521. That date the three leaders (Juan Bravo, Padilla and Maldonado) were beheaded.
Although the Commuties in Castilla lost the battle, they got that some Spanish people had responsibility in Charles I´s reign.
